GENERALSUMMARY: This position will facilitate learningfor an associate in applied science degree program in Graphic Design or 3DModeling & Animation Technology through on-campus and/or distance-deliverystrategies. Applicants do not need to be local to the Okmulgee, OK area toapply. We are actively seeking applicants for both our on-campus and onlineonly courses to add to our excellent faculty in the School of Creative andInformation Technologies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate records of students' progress and provide them to administration when appropriate.
- Assist in course scheduling and the creation of instructional material as needed.
- Assume daily responsibility of housekeeping and maintenance of campus-based classrooms and/or online courses.
- Maintain course gradebook and answer student questions visa email in a timely manner.
- Willingly spend the time necessary to accomplish assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Assist in developing and updating course materials and curriculum in conjunction with the Creative Technologies faculty, advisory committee representatives, general education faculty and technical program faculty.
- Willingly stay up to date on technology advances in the areas of graphic design, digital art and/or web design.
- Willingly participate in both unit and institution-wide student persistence efforts.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with industry representatives and partners.
- Design interactive, engaging, technology-enriched and applications-focused student learning experiences.
- Maintain up-to-date course outlines, objectives, assignments and tests.
- Willingly participate in both unit and institution-wide student persistence efforts.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with industry representatives and partners.
- Participate fully in the academic assessment of student learning in alignment with the expectations of accreditation and governing entities.
- Represent the School and University in appropriate professional and community organizations and related activities.
- Fulfill other responsibilities to meet the needs of the School or OSUIT.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Graphic Design, Animation, Game Art, BFA, etc.) from an accredited college or university; master’s degree preferred.
- Other combinations of education and industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
- Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
- Three years of professional experience in the subject to be taught, as well as demonstrated or a strong potential of teaching excellence.
- Experience with Graphic Design and/or 3D production from concept to end use, game art production, Blender, Maya, Adobe, 3D production design, and/or mobile device asset creation preferred.
- Documented successful work experience in related industry.
- Teaching experience in Higher Education preferred.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse constituencies.
- Skilled in a variety of 3D design aspects, using PC and Macinstosh systems.
- Experience with Adobe software (Illustrator, PhotoShop, etc.) and other current digital processes.
- Experience with Autodesk software (MAYA) and related 3D production software (Substance, Unreal Engine, Unity, ZBrush).
- Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives.
- Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary.
- Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility and judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with and promote diverse populations.
- Superior interpersonal skills—including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex problems in a constructive manner.
- Ability to speak to a group in a manner that engages students and facilitates learning.

- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Travel required.
- Normal classroom physical environment; ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
