Avera is currently seeking an Administrator at our Missouri River Healthcare Center in Gettysburg, SD.

• Avera Missouri River Health Center in Gettysburg, SD is a 21,800-square-foot critical access facility with hospital, clinic, and long-term care settings that incorporates innovative design and technology allowing for flexibility in care delivery — a necessity for rural health care.
• Avera Missouri River Health Center consists of a licensed 7 bed critical access hospital accredited by State of South Dakota, Avera Medical Group Gettysburg, Avera Oahe Manor Long-Term Care, and Avera Oahe Villa senior living.

Job Summary

• The administrator is responsible for the strategic vision for the delivery of healthcare in the Gettysburg area.
• Ensures the operations in Gettysburg are in compliance with all appropriate Federal and Status statutes and regulations.
• Responsible for quality, patient satisfaction, financial performance and employee engagement and retention.
• Ensures rapport with the medical staff.
• Represents a professional manner in/outside the facility and models the Avera Standards for Service Excellence.
• Accountable to the Regional President and CEO for the Avera St. Mary's Region as well as a board of directors.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate of an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in business, healthcare administration or related field
• Masters’  Degree preferred

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare administration preferred

Required License/Certification/Registration

• Must have a SD Nursing Home Administrator license or willing to obtain within the first six months of employment.
