Position: Associate Professional Specialist



Description: The Department of Geosciences at Princeton University has an opening for a professional researcher/technician in climate science, appointed at the rank of Associate Professional Specialist or a more senior professional specialist rank depending on experience. Duties will include assistance in design and implementation of experiments in single component and coupled dynamical models of the atmosphere, oceans and earth system; statistical analysis of earth system model output and earth system observations to develop understanding of mechanisms and impacts of climate variability and change; data archiving and software support; and assistance and lead in generating publications for the peer-reviewed literature. Essential qualifications include a Ph.D. in Geosciences, or a related field. The position is available for one year, with a possibility for renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance.
