• Position: RN:ER (Emergency Room)
• Location: Phoenix AZ 85013
• Pay Rate: $52$53/hr
• Shift: 12hr (7a7p 7p7a 11a11p 1p1a)
• Work Week: 36 hours per week
• Gross weekly: $1908 /week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start: 27th Jan 2025

Unit Profiles :

• Medical Solutions PreScreens if clinical recommends AUTO OFFER
• Basic Dysrhythmia Exam Required PRIOR to sending the contract 2 attempts if failed candidate is DNU with CS AZ and Sacramento for 6 months
• **NO FIRST TIME TRAVELERS**
• **MUST HAVE 1 YEAR OF TRAUMA LEVEL 1 EXPERIENCE; WILL SCREEN 8 MONTHS** **MUST HAVE CERNER EXPERIENCE PLEASE NOTE ON RESUME UNDER WORK HISTORY TO CONFIRM HOW RECENT**
• Float Policy: Can be float between St. Josephs Main St. Josephs Westgate and the 2 Free Standing ERs in Litchfield Park & Glendale. (4 facilities total)**** about 30 mins apart can be floated midshift
• DAY 1 PASS FAIL EXAM: STUDY GUIDE PROVIDED WIH FDI
• PASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion but does portacath insertion instead of central line dressing change. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus &/or St. Joseph Westgate campus. NOTE SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field. Those travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills (See separate notes for the specific checklist IF traveler asks for additional details). The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas especially maintaining sterile field as these are nursing skills that are performed frequently. NOTE: if a candidate indicates that they are not competent in either of these areas they are probably not a good fit. In addition to SIMs Lab they will also go through lifts restraints & wound care but these are just educational based since the equipment & policies can be different facility to facility.
• Unit: ED / Trauma
• # beds: Acute 36 and Subacute 54. Trauma bays 6 (no travelers)
• Required Certs: BLS ACLS PALS
• Preferred Certs: TNCC and ATCN
• **ENPC not allowed to replace PALS Cert**
• Ratios: 1:4 ratio
• EMR: Cerner
• Charge Nurse: 2 Charge RNs will task or have light patient load.
• Nurse Aides: 4PCTs for sitters.
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month at unit discretion
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Tele: Phillips monitors must be able to read strips.
• Vents: Managed by RT
• Hospitalist or Intensivists in house: Minimum of 2 MDs or as many as 8. Midlevels also utilized. Anesthesia
• IV Team: Core RNs are US trained.
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes Pharmacist in ER 10hrs/day
• Shifts: 7a7p 7p7a 11a11p 1p1a
• Floating: Float within ER.
• Floor specific orientation: 23 shifts on the floor.
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Trauma Burns and Peds transferred out. CP Center Spinal Cord TBIN certification. 88000 patients per year 250300 per day.
• Additional Notes: 3040 psych holds.

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• 2 years ER experience.
• BLS ACLS PALS
• Preferred Certs: TNCC and ATCN

Dress Code: Include requirements but most of all not acceptable attire.

• Scrub Color Navy scrubs.
