Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Buyer in Fort Loramie, OH! In this role, you'll be integral to managing supplier relationships for both direct and indirect goods and services. You'll collaborate closely with our local and corporate teams to ensure seamless procurement processes and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of supplier performance, driving improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Identify and develop relationships with qualified suppliers, ensuring seamless integration into our supply chain.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet local priorities while communicating progress effectively.
Mitigate external supply risks through strategic sourcing strategies and inventory management solutions.
Optimize working capital and procurement costs through innovative sourcing and negotiation strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong preference for a bachelor's degree.
Proficiency in purchasing policies and procedures, ideally within a corporate environment.
Ability to interpret technical documents and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Familiarity with consumption-based and forecast-based planning methods is advantageous.
Previous exposure to ISO-9001 or equivalent quality management systems is a plus.
