Granger Construction Company is a family-owned construction company providing construction management and general contracting services throughout Michigan and Ohio.

Position Description

We are accepting applications for Carpenters seeking to advance their construction careers. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling practices as well as a comprehensive understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, materials, specifications, quality and cost control measures and safety requirements associated with commercial building.

Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

• Ability to organize, sequence and perform assigned tasks
• Read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills and perform layout
• Installation of doors, hardware, and other millwork
• Interior finish demolition and setting up of wall protection
• Erect temporary handrails and associated safety-related items
• Form and place concrete footings, piers, walls and columns
• Placement of concrete, slab on grade and elevated decks

Qualifications and Abilities:

• This is a union position. If not a member of a union, we will assist with membership
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Candidates must have transportation
• Hours may vary and overtime may be required
• Good communication skills
• Travel within a 60-90 minute radius
• Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
