We are looking for a decisive, driven, goal-oriented marketing manager who takes the initiative to help Tax Goddess build our brand recognition, grow our audience, build our marketing department, and deliver results to the management team while working with other creative team members.
This role requires a high level of “big picture” planning and creativity, strong follow-up skills, attention to detail, project management skills, and previous team management experience. You will be in charge of all external & internal marketing. You will be creating, streamlining, and managing the execution of the marketing strategy for Tax Goddess that grows our followers, engages, and retains them. You will also play an integral role in public/media relations, corporate communications, and content creation/review/approval for our company.
Your role will be to help convert them into leads, customers, and active fans and promoters of our company. You should have command of best practices and trends in social media marketing, enjoy your work and role, and understand how to both build and convert a digital audience. You will be in charge of creating the sphere of influence that attracts traffic, converting that traffic into new leads for the business, and nurturing those leads to close into strong prospects for our sales team.
Get our Tax Goddess as many speaking engagements as possible: (TED Talks, podcasts, interviews, webinars, and booking with Tim Ferris pretty much seals the deal!)
Increase our YouTube Subscribers to 1k by the End of the Year.
Increase brand & product awareness across the various offerings in the Tax Goddess family (Tax Goddess Business Services, PC; Tax Goddess Express; Strategic Tax Coach; DropMyTaxes; Tax Goddess International; TaxGoddessLive.com; 13 Week Cash Flow; etc.)

• Set the goals directions, and objectives that are reasonably expected for the Marketing department (with direction from management)
• Measure the results against the goals
• Systematize the marketing department
• Build a marketing team in Tax Goddess (then manage/train/educate/coordinate the staff, delegate, and produce results)
• Find, book, and manage virtual speaking engagements (ongoing) - min 1/month
• Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
• Create & manage shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content.
• Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand-new audiences.
• Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success, with the help of the automation team.
• Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target buyers.
• Grow our subscriber base across all platforms by providing them with regular, helpful content that’s aligned with their needs and interests. As well as determine what those needs and interests may be (as ever-changing as the world is!)
• Manage and improve organic search engine performance and goal-setting based on clickthrough rates, traffic, and conversions.
• Manage various email campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action, and content used in our email sends.
• Assist members of our sales team/customer service teams when appropriate.
• Connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and other initiatives.
• 5+ years experience managing a marketing team of at least 3 people.
• Marketing and content creation experience along with experience finding, booking, and managing speaking engagements.
• Active and well-rounded personal presence in social media, with a command of each network and its best practices.
• Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content. (in American English & Idioms).
• Experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (FB, IG, Twitter, LI, YT, Buffer, Metricol).
