ABOUT THE ROLE: The
Director of Security Integration will support the Safety & Security function and report to the VP of Safety & Security. The role’s scope includes identifying safety and security requirements, the planning and delivery of all program activities to support the various cross-functions, and providing a memorable client experience within a safe and secure environment during the 2026 FIFA World Cup ™ .
In close partnership with the VP of Safety & Security, the Director will lead key elements of safety and security planning and delivery for Boston 26 venues and special events. This includes but is not limited to involvement in multi-agency security working groups that will plan and coordinate security arrangements for Boston 26 and liaison with other host cities. Additionally, the Director of Security Integration will support/provide security advice to other Boston 26 functions to support their planning efforts to deliver a world class, safe, and memorable experience for all constituent groups, clients, media, football fans, and the public during the tournament.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work closely with local, state, and federal public safety and security agencies to support the development of risk-based, safety and security plans for Boston 26 venues and events which are integrated and aligned with FIFA 26 tournament requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Boston 26 functions, particularly Operations (FIFA FanFest), Transportation, Government Relations, Sport, Volunteer Programs and Accreditation, and Gillette Stadium and to ensure constituent group requirements and levels of service for venues and locations are clearly communicated and integrated with external public safety and security agencies plans.
- Participate in Host City security working group meetings to coordinate and integrate planning for all tournament related activities, monitor cross-agency issues and risks, participate and support issue resolution.
- Oversee and report Safety and Security function deliverables against the Boston 26 project management plan/roadmap.
- Oversees all financial management processes required to forecast and track expenditure across the SEI budget and other contracts managed by SEI.
- On behalf of Boston 26, oversee private security workforce resourcing, mobilization, and contract management from procurement through project close-out, and ensure an appropriate level of compliance and assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders to adapt and align existing Venue Emergency Response Plans (VERPs) for the World Cup operational environment.
- In collaboration with the Operations function develop a venue safety and security plan for the FIFA26 Fan Festival.
- Support the planning and delivery of Boston 26 operational readiness exercises designed to test and validate tournament wide communication, coordination, command, and control (C4) processes and designated venue safety and security plans and procedures with the Boston 26 area of operations.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: - Bachelor's or master's degree in security, risk management, criminal justice, emergency management, or related field; or the equivalent, relevant, workplace experience in law enforcement or military, at a senior management level.
- Ten or more years’ experience in a security management role in private security, law enforcement, military, or other public safety sectors, and recent experience in senior role of a similar nature.
- Successfully built and/or led a comprehensive security program for a high-profile organization or government security agency.
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk-based planning and operational delivery of safety security and operational delivery in a major events environment and/or multi-agency environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written (development of plans, policies and procedures) and verbal (informal and formal PowerPoint briefs) with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Able to maintain a strategic focus while also performing tactically.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Calm demeanor with team-centric mindset that can withstand high-pressure working environments and projects. Flexibility, resourcefulness, and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A working knowledge of project management
Please Note : Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa or sponsorship, and must reside (or be prepared to reside) within reasonable commuting distance of Foxborough, MA.
WORK EXPECTATIONS: - Full-time, onsite, 40hr per week role that may require occasional evening and weekend work. Local and regional travel is expected on occasion. Work hours will fluctuate and include activity outside normal business hours during tournament operations (June-July 2026).
- This role is estimated to conclude in late Summer 2026.
