Job Description The role will lead development of the Workflow and Request capability within RaDS IT and execute strategy for supporting the digital transformation of our scientific tools. The role offers the chance to work on high-profile applications with the ability to impact how lab-based research is conducted and accelerate innovative drugs to market. You will possess a blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision with the ability to dive into the weeds, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will be able to comprehend scientific problems and translate those needs for the technical team while prioritizing tasks to ensure the introduction and ongoing enhancement of solutions. Success will be the acceptance and adoption of these new solutions by the scientists targeted for each release.
You will be able to identify with our scientists' needs and be a passionate advocate for their perspectives through all phases of product development.
The position will be based in one of the locations stated, travel to other sites will be necessary at times.
Key tasks- Managing the product life cycle for Workflow and Request from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Understanding the problem space and specifying requirements for current and future products through close partnership with our companies research scientists and other stakeholders.
Aiding the adoption and change management planning.
Analyzing potential vendor partner relationships for the resultant solution(s).

Education Minimum:
- B.A./B.S. or Advanced degree equivalent in a relevant technical or scientific discipline (such as life sciences, informatics, genomics, statistics/biostatistics).
Prerequisites: - Minimum of 10 years relevant experience across the IT and life sciences space
- Significant demonstrable experience in or around the pharmaceutical industry sufficient to understand the underlying workflows and data management needs.
- Has worked in a Product management role previously and is enthusiastic about their craft.
- Is well versed in Agile methodologies for software development and is able to impart that to others.
- A dedication to appreciating complex problems and tackling a diversity of subject matter with a creative mind and imaginative strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong, trust based, collaborative relationships to drive change within all levels of a large, diverse organization.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work based on user need, business value, and return on investment.
- Ability to quickly grasp new technological and scientific concepts and convey their value to clients and collaborators.
- Has demonstrable experience in redesigning and improving internal business processes.
- Ability to consider and manage change as a critical success factor for adoption.
- Experience and comfort making build-or-buy decisions.
- Ability to function in a geographically distributed, culturally diverse environment with both internal and external employees.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and users.
- Ability to work in a team of multidisciplinary scientists and IT personnel and operate effectively in a matrix environment; team player yet able to work independently.
Preferred:
- Demonstrable knowledge of problems facing scientists working a drug discovery lab ideally gleaned from a lab-based background.
- Experience in applying change management concepts in a cross functional group.
- Ability to work collaboratively with vendors to address business problems.
- Familiarity with user centered design and UX principles.
- Pragmatic Institute Certification.
- Familiarity with Cloud based software and terms.
- Experience with LIMS or other lab data capture informatics software.
- Experience with Appian or other low code development software.
- Comprehension of laboratory processes and methods.
- Comprehension of the Product Life Cycle of software products.

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected US salary range:
$164,800.00 - $259,400.00
