Responsibilities

Position Overview

This role is integral in improving systems operational efficiency across Willow Bridge Property Company. The Director, Systems Operations & Performance will collaborate with other organizational department leads and regional operations teams to introduce and evaluate new systems and products while ensuring the field is effectively represented in product testing, implementation and adoption.

 

In addition, this role will be responsible for acting as a liaison between support departments (IT, procurement, accounting, marketing, etc.) and the onsite teams, finding ways to streamline current technology workflows to increase efficiency and evaluate the overall effectiveness of operational products/systems while collaborating with the necessary departments on all company pilots and rollouts of new products/systems and monitoring their performance and functionality. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Operations & Performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee and Lead System and Program Initiatives:
    • Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to Property Management Leadership, Chief Technology Officer and the Executive Steering Committee to proactively understand and influence existing property management and performance strategies.
    • Responsible for managing and leading property management operations systems, programs and initiatives within Willow Bridge Property Management.
    • Keep up-to-date with new products and software to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Establish processes and execute strategies to enhance property performance, actively involving focus groups composed of the target users.
    • Manage rollouts and oversee product implementation for Property Management operations technology systems.
    • Strategically prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate Across Departments:
    • Collaborate with VP, Procurement and VP, Asset Performance to conduct formal vetting of new products. Consult with leaders across Willow Bridge to make highly informed and strategic plans, influencing property management technology efficiency and optimal performance.
    • Work closely with department leads to conduct product testing and find solutions for technology enhancements, upgrades and new technology solutions.
    • Act as a liaison between operations, procurement, IT, and onsite teams, ensuring property management business alignment and effective change management.
    • Anticipate potential challenges and opportunities, and make proactive decisions to minimize business disruptions and performance challenges.
    • Track, monitor, and prepare updates for leadership on the progress and status of ongoing projects and pilots. 
  • Assess Product Effectiveness
    • Partner with VP, Operations and Performance to identify key metrics for measuring effectiveness and performance of current property management systems.
    • Identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Review product performance metrics and recommend improvements.
    • Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of existing programs and products.
  • Oversee and Manage Operations Ancillary Products and Business Functions
    • Partner with operations performance leadership team to develop program efficiency and processes to support needs of property management while also ensuring local, state, and company procedure compliance.
    • Develop performance metrics for operations ancillary products and programs to measure overall all effectiveness and performance.
    • Create processes to ensure optimal customer service and support of Willow Bridge Property Management and third party clients.

Qualifications

Critical Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years experience property management experience
  • Minimum 7 years experience with property management systems - Yardi, Entrata, OneSite, etc
  • Possess expertise in property operations
  • Healthy knowledge of company systems/programs
  • Excellent decision making and analytical skills to effectively evaluate issues and solutions.
  • Proven strategy management ability with expertise of translating strategy into action plans
  • Possess strong communication, collaboration, and people skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
