Job Title: QC Food Laboratory Technician

Job Description

This position is for a lab technician in the Bake Lab for a 6-month contract-to-hire engagement. You will work on both day (7am-7pm) and night (7pm-7am) shifts in a 2-2-3 rotation, with training provided for 5 weeks on the 1st shift. Responsibilities include making dough, baking it to test yeast activity, measuring yeast rise, conducting oven solids, performing hardness tests, pressure, salt, conductivity, pH, and caustic titrations. You will also use lab instruments such as Risograph, Kjeldahl, and Lab Information Systems similar to LIMS to manage data and reports. Pay ranges from $19-$22 per hour.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Memphis, Tennessee.

Work Environment

This is a typical food lab operating 24/7, 365 days a year, including holidays. You will work on a 2-2-3 rotation for 3rd shift but must be available to cover 1st shift as necessary. Dress code includes long pants and closed shoes, with steel-toed shoes preferred. A voucher for steel-toed shoes will be provided on the first day.
