Job Description

Want to help grow the #1 “Fastest-Growing Agency”? Want to join a company whose brand is so strong that we get unsolicited clients reaching out every day? Want to help define the future of social media marketing?

Movers+Shakers is a new kind of agency built for the era of lo-fi, authentic social. We act as a creative AOR, influencer agency, and production house -- streamlined to drive cultural relevance with Gen Z and Millennials.

Brands like e.l.f., Netflix, Dove, Red Bull, and Tinder rely on Movers+Shakers to win on social and beyond. We’ve gotten our clients over 250 billion views on social -- from major brand moments to viral daily content.

The hype doesn’t stop with our clients’ brands. Fast Company named Movers+Shakers one of the "Most Innovative Companies" in the world, and AdAge named us a "Small Agency of the Year" (three years in a row). Adweek called us, "the best agency in the world at creating campaigns on TikTok."

We're really proud of our work, and we're even more proud of our culture. In their first week, new employees inevitably comment on how positive and supportive our workplace is. A month in, they're noting how little ego there is, and how departments collaborate surprisingly deeply. We only work with brands that share our commitment to spreading joy, and we have parted ways with client teams that don't treat our team with respect.

REMOTE-FIRST CULTURE!

  • Work from anywhere in the US! Home, WeWork , your mom’s house, you choose! Our team is 100% remote-first, with hubs in LA and NYC.
  • All employees can have an All-Access WeWork Pass to collaborate with teammates in your area or to simply change up your working environment.
  • Strong & tight-knit culture important to you? Us too! We’ve always been remote-first, and we’ve built a thriving culture. From zoom coffees to in-person hangouts, we thrive as a connected team. Most positions require some travel or time on site because of the needs of the role. For example: team meetings, client meetings, on-site production. Talk to your recruiter for more info!

THE ROLE

Let’s cut to the chase: If you are an innovative creative leader with a social-first mindset, who has experience working on everything from short-form video content to big idea campaign platforms, and is looking for an opportunity that will allow you to flex some big ol’ innovation muscles and creative leadership skills, well….this job might be right for you.

As a Group Creative Director, you are the optimistic and tireless creative force leading the team to create culturally-tuned-in work that wows clients and impresses the industry. You are a client whisperer, a trend-miner, a fierce collaborator and an inspiring mentor. You foster an environment of innovation and mind-blowing creativity, inspiring your teams to do the best work of their careers. You have a keen eye for social-first storytelling, and a penchant for work that lives at the cross-section of entertainment and advertising, ranging from viral social content to headline-grabbing campaigns and years-long campaign platforms.

Oh yeah, and you’ve got those superb verbal, written communication, and presentation skills that have got your creative team clamoring for mentorship and guidance from you.

As a culture-scraper and creative mover and shaker, this GCD will be responsible for setting the vision for how the brands we work with show up across every touchpoint (across social, digital, experiential, OOH and more). You will oversee a variety of clients’ creative work, and will work in partnership with account and strategy leaders to not only grow those accounts, but also innovate and develop award-winning work that keeps clients coming back for more. You are a fierce collaborator, working alongside Strategy, Production, and Influencer team leaders to create and catapult complex social-first creative into reality, from presentation to production. You enjoy mentoring your team as much as you enjoy collaborating with clients in solving unique challenges, and you approach it all with an optimistic, joyful attitude.

This role will report directly into CCO and Co-Founder Geoffrey Goldberg. Fun Fact: Geoffrey spent a former career as a Broadway performer, and is now recognized as an industry thought-leader, as a Creative 100 and Creative 40 under 40. He brings a unique perspective on the convergence of Advertising, Entertainment and Creator Culture.

Only Movers and/or Shakers need apply 🙂

  • Leadership and Influence: Significant leadership experience in agency settings or with large brands, capable of leading by example, fostering a positive work environment, and encouraging a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of marketing strategy and brand strategy with the ability to meet and exceed the unexpressed needs of CMOs through insightful proposals and strategic thinking.
  • Exceptional communication skills: adept at inspiring teams, selling creative concepts persuasively through well-designed presentation decks, and maintaining robust client relationships.
  • Coaching and Positive Impact: Strong capabilities in coaching and helping team members grow, with a passion for spreading joy and a positive attitude in the workplace.

We look forward to hearing from you! 🎵💃

BASE SALARY RANGE

Our estimated range for this role is $200,000 - 230,000

\Don’t let this range drive your decision to apply. Actual compensation packages are based on the level of skill and experience each candidate brings to their role. Similarly, there might also be a more senior or junior position available, that would be a better fit with your expertise. For example, a person may apply for a Senior Creative Producer role, and we may assess that their skills are at the Creative Producer level. Each level has its own compensation range.

At Movers+Shakers, we pride ourselves on competitive salaries, and we work hard to ensure there is pay equity across the company. We welcome open and honest conversations about compensation in all of our initial calls. We look forward to meeting you!
