Job Description
Are you excited about the prospect of merging your expertise in federal procurement law with strategic business thinking to drive innovation and contribute to important missions? We are seeking a passionate leader for our Intellectual Property (IP) Legal Team who can anticipate the needs of the business in the federal sector and collaborate with leaders to develop integrated strategies that support the entire innovation lifecycle.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and drive our intellectual property and technology strategy, protect IP rights, and provide legal guidance on various aspects of IP, including patents, trade secrets, emerging technologies, copyrights, trademarks, and licensing. You will play a crucial role in developing the structures necessary to support our strategic approach of building, partnering, investing, and buying.
Join our purpose-driven, forward-thinking team as we work together to help our clients achieve their missions through scalable and innovative solutions that leverage dual-use technologies to address their most pressing challenges.
As the Intellectual Property Law Director, you will lead a talented team of IP attorneys who are committed to delivering innovative solutions to a diverse range of public-sector clients. You will collaborate with directors from various sectors to establish a framework for delivering impactful solutions that can be monetized and scaled across the federal government and commercial industries.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing our registered IP portfolio, collaborating with Sector Counsels to enhance and transform our current IP ecosystem, and working closely with the Deputy General Counsel and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer to implement foundational shifts in our delivery approach. You will help build risk mitigation strategies, improve understanding of key concepts, and enhance the organization's capacity to innovate swiftly.
You will also focus on integrating functions across the legal department to create efficiencies that enable rapid responsiveness to client needs. By building trusted partnerships across the firm and collaborating with the Legal, Ethics & Compliance team, you will help navigate the complex legal and compliance landscape we face today.
With our shared purpose and values, we will proactively prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.
