OFFICE ASSISTANT (GENERAL) (PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – NORTHERN BUTTES DISTRICT / CASCADE SECTOR / MCARTHUR BURNEY FALLS MEMORIAL STATE PARK

The reporting location for this position is McArthur Burney Falls Memorial State Park  in Burney, CA. This position will work under the general supervision of Staff Services Manager II. 

This position works closely with visitor services staff, visitation data, and revenue generation policy compliance. This position will assist with maintenance and entry level analysis of all District Peace Officer records and requests. This position also assits with providing management with periodic reports concerning peace officer statistics and public safety activities.

The Cascade Sector spans across 3 counties and is comprised of 5 park units including: Weaverville Joss House, Shasta State Historical Park, Castle Crags, Ahjumawi Lave Springs and Burney Falls. The incumbent may travel to work at other park units within the Sector as needed.

This position is designate d as not telework eligible .

This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.

This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

Working Conditions

• Office environment
• Daily and frequent use of personal computer and a variety of office software applications at a work-station
• Sit in a normal seated position for extended periods of time
• Work environment may have exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, elevations, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
• Occasional travel required and work outside of office

Special Requirements

• The position(s) require(s) a valid California Drivers License (CDL). You must answer the questions addressing your CDL on your application. Ensure you provide your CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.

Posession of a valid Driver's License – Class C is required. Incumbent must maintain a safe driving record
