Full-Time Police Officer Announcement

The Civil Service Commission of Vermilion, Ohio, announces an open competitive examination for Full-Time Police Officer. The City of Vermilion is an equal opportunity employer.

Testing Process
The Vermilion Police Department is conducting testing for the position of Police Officer through the National Testing Network (NTN). Testing results will be accepted from November 11 to December 11, 2024.

To register and schedule your test, visit the National Testing Network website and follow these steps:

Complete the NTN registration process and schedule your test.
Review all information related to the Vermilion Police Department's testing, including minimum requirements, salary, and benefits.
Familiarize yourself with the testing process, FAQs, and practice test options.
Upon completing your exam and submitting the required paperwork, scores will be forwarded to the Vermilion Civil Service Commission. Candidates who pass will be placed on the eligibility list after applying applicable extra credit. The list will be certified, and the Vermilion Police Department will contact candidates to proceed with the selection process.

Eligibility and Requirements

Candidates must score at least 70% in each section of the exam (reading, writing, and video).
Scores from previous NTN tests may be valid; candidates must contact NTN to transfer scores before the closing date.
