Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Precision Machine Operator, you will set-up, operate and maintain at least one process machine (3 and/or 5 axis, rotary, surface grinder, etc.) Maintain all quality and production records and assist with training as required. This role is for 3rd Shift (11:30pm - 6:00am). **3rd Shift works 7 hours and is paid for 8 hours!**

Starting Pay : $23.00
Shift differentials: 3rd shift - $3.00

** MUST be able to train on 1st shift for several months**

Essential Functions:

• Perform precision machine set-up and wheel changes in assigned workstation within standard set-up times.
• Maintain all quality and production records including tooling calibration, daily walk around, etc.
• Maintain productivity, utilization, schedule and quality records and comply with all standards.
• Perform inspection of non-certified operators
• Assist with training of Machine Trainees as required.
• Perform Productive Maintenance duties.
• Maintain 6S and other area housekeeping standards.
• Participate and actively promote continuous improvement activities.
• Achieve and maintain certified status.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High school diploma/GED or trade school 

Skills and Abilities:

• Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers including decimal and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, writing diagrams, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
• Ability to plan, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices.

Experience:

• 2 year of related machining experience (manufacturing or industrial experience) preferred.
