Position:

Professional Services - Front End Web Developer/SharePoint

Job Summary:

The PS (Professional Services) role plays two parts.

1) PS will support Project Managers in delivering Customer Projects. The PS role is responsible for providing the technical feasibility/approach response to customer generated requirements. Depending on the project, the PS role would either recommend an approach or deliver that approach, dependent on resources and the complexity of the requirements.

2) The PS role would participate in periodic product enhancements. Enhancements may take the form of either refactoring existing functionality or working with Product Management to capture new technologies from the field to the base product offering.

The PS role has a wide variety of tools. In addition to SharePoint's native capabilities, the solutions feature a no-code wizard-based configuration toolset for basic displays and navigation. Reporting and Advanced modular displays are built using either XML/XSLT or JavaScript/HTML/CSS. Business logic is managed using a no-code workflow framework. Note that we do not currently use PowerApps in our SharePoint Server environments.

An ideal candidate will be able to match the complex business needs of a Customer with the suite of tools/approaches available. PS will often be assigned tasks from up to 4 concurrent projects, so an attention to detail and ability to manage time is a must. R3 requires that all employees participate in our “continuous education” program, with a focus on trends and business concepts specific to the GovCon industry. Finally, the PS role is Customer facing and should be comfortable interacting with Customers in a professional manner on a regular basis.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers and customer success team to understand requirements
• Deliver PS technical services to customers and manage your work
• Use front-end web development skills to provide enhanced features such as user experience changes, workflows, process changes, reporting and dashboards
• Build enhancements for customers that are reusable across our customer base
• Manage multiple customers/projects simultaneously with short durations (less than a week, and often less than a day per project)
• Work with product management to add features to roadmap and provide input

Required Technical Skills and Knowledge:

Base knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Server including data model and web development. This includes experience with site collections, sites, lists, libraries and knowledge of the SharePoint API. web development using REST API and CAML. About 3-4 years of experience. Primary strength in front-end development and strong understanding of how business applications work.

• Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Front-End Web/SharePoint development using JavaScript/XSLT and related development platforms, libraries and tools
• Customer facing professional services including requirements, engagement and software development experience
• Business application development experience
• Solid understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery and/or Ajax
• Experience using SharePoint Designer
• Solid knowledge of database architecture, SQL Server, working with RESTful API's

Beneficial Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience building and/or supporting business applications or SaaS BTB business applications
• Advanced experience in web development platforms and tools (Bootstrap/REACT/Angular)
• Experience using SharePoint PowerShell and building external system integration
• Professional experience with Software Development LIfecycle (SDLC) and quality and security best practices
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS for cloud services
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, GCC High or GCC Medium and leveraging the Power 'set' of Microsoft tools
• Experience using C# and build tools and management
• Knowledge of work by Federal Government Contractors (proposals, capture, contracts, program management)
