Position : Registered Nurse Psychiatric (Nursing)

Location : Watertown NY 13601

Payrate: $62/hourly

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract

Guarantee: Hours: 36

Shift: Night

Summary :


The Registered Nurse Psychiatric provides compassionate and comprehensive care to patients with psychiatric disorders. This role involves assessing planning implementing and evaluating nursing care for patients with mental health conditions.3

Description / Comment :

60 mile radius rule
12hr Nights weekend holiday and call required
13 weeks
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current NYS RN license or eligible.
Previous Psych experience preferred.
Required SAFE (deescalation training required within the first two months of hire)
BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities :

• Assess patients mental health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond promptly to crises.
• Provide therapeutic support and education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and nursing standards.

Requirements :

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 12 years of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Strong assessment communication and critical thinking skills.
• AHA BLS
• EPIC Experience Preferred.
• Crisis Intervention Training Preferred.
• Float as needed.
• Expected to work every other weekend.
• Does NOT accept local candidates within 50 miles!

Skills :

• Proficiency in patient assessment and care planning.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment protocols.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate and patientcentered approach to care.
