Remote Sr. Underwriter - Medmal

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Sr. Underwriter specializing in Medical Malpractice to join our team. This role involves analyzing and assessing risk in medical malpractice insurance coverage applications, providing quotes/proposals/renewals, and ensuring high-quality customer service while maintaining profitability and loss ratios.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and assess medical malpractice insurance applications to determine risk and coverage needs.
Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and renewals to clients.
Evaluate loss ratios and conduct risk analysis to inform underwriting decisions.
Collaborate with the underwriting team to develop and implement underwriting guidelines and strategies.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to facilitate the underwriting process.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience, specifically in medical malpractice or professional liability insurance.
Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in underwriting software and tools.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Ability to travel/commute as needed for company meetings
CPCU or RPLU designation is preferred but not required.
