Part-Time Receptionist - Upper Campus

Monday – Thursday 12:00 noon – 4:00pm
Friday 12:30pm – 4:00pm

The GLOBE Academy is a dual language immersion public charter school serving approximately 1050 students in Kindergarten - 8th Grade in the DeKalb County School District of Metro Atlanta, Georgia. With a focus on dual-language immersion, an experiential-learning model, and a constructivist approach, GLOBE inspires students to be high-performing lifelong learners equipped to make a positive impact in the world.

We are currently seeking an energetic Receptionist for our Lower Campus. This individual is the first point of contact for our school who will greet all visitors and staff in a friendly and professional manner. This position is best filled by an individual who doesn’t mind wearing multiple hats, who enjoys a wide range of administrative tasks and is well organized.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:

● Provides support to administration, faculty, staff, and students.

● Responds appropriately and in a timely manner to requests and inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and parents.

● Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls, identifies matters requiring priority handling and brings them to attention of supervisor; receives and refers concerns raised by students, parents, personnel, or other constituents to the attention of appropriate personnel.

● Maintains the confidentiality of information as related to students, parents, faculty, and staff.

● Maintains and controls the completion of student, employee, substitute, and visitor sign-in/out sheets.

● Manages incoming and outgoing mail according to GLOBE policies and procedures.

● Receipts incoming GLOBE monies as directed by the Business Manager using GLOBE Financial Policies and Procedures.

● Assists in securing transportation and inputting data for scheduled field trips

● Performs other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing and related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

● Minimum high school diploma or GED required.

● Associate degree preferred.

● Previous experience working in an office setting preferable a school setting.
