Your Role and Responsibilities: As a Science Long Term Substitute Teacher, you will:

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with State Standards for Science.
Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical thinking.
Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere by establishing and enforcing classroom rules and procedures.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique learning needs of each student.
Communicate regularly with parents to share updates on student progress and areas for growth.

What We're Looking For:

A Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field is required; a Master's degree in Education or a relevant discipline is preferred.
At least three years of teaching experience at the secondary school level.
A current and valid teaching certification in the State of California with a Science endorsement.
Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to inclusive teaching practices.
Proficiency in remote and hybrid teaching models is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Experience teaching in an urban public school or charter school setting.
Fluency in Spanish or another second language.
Strong ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
Versatility in teaching across various grade levels.
Familiarity with project-based learning methodologies.
