Job Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with State Standards for Science.
Provide comprehensive classroom instruction in Science, following the approved curriculum to ensure students meet learning objectives.
Create and maintain a positive classroom environment by establishing clear expectations, rules, and procedures to manage student behavior effectively.
Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring every student receives the support they need to succeed.
Communicate regularly with parents to provide feedback on student progress, addressing any concerns and celebrating achievements.
Foster a growth mindset by motivating students to take ownership of their learning and become critical thinkers.

Desired Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field is required; a Master's degree in Education or a similar discipline is a plus.
A minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school environment.
A current and valid teaching certification in the State of California, with a Science endorsement.
Experience teaching diverse student populations, with a strong commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all.
Ability to effectively teach through remote and hybrid models, adapting to various teaching methods as needed.

Nice-to-Haves:

Experience working in urban public or charter schools.
Fluency in Spanish or another second language.
Strong ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance student learning.
Experience working with multiple grade levels.
Familiarity with project-based learning methodologies and a passion for hands-on, experiential education.

Salary: $ 52,000.00 93,000.00 Per Year
