COME JOIN OUR TEAM AS A BOOKKEEPER

MAVENTRI is seeking an experienced and dependable professional, to support our clients' human resources and payroll operations.

Remote work for the majority of your time, with the occasional in-person meetings for team connection, company networking, and/or client support.

The most successful candidate for the position will be familiar with basic Bookkeeping practices, general knowledge of cloud-based accounting platforms, have the ability to connect with people, and be comfortable working remotely. This remote position offers a competitive hourly rate and requires a candidate who is available during standard working hours for client check-ins and requests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain and manage financial records using Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Experience in filing Sales Tax, 1099s, and other business filing services for clients.
  • Provide clients with guidance and understanding of their financial statements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address their inquiries and provide financial insights.
  • Collaborate with the MAVENTRI team to ensure a cohesive approach to client services.

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this role, you should have experience and knowledge of Bookkeeping principles: 

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including month-end close processes (this is a MUST!).
  • Experience in NonProfit Accounting & DCAA. 
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software, specifically Xero and QuickBooks.
  • Ability to generate Ad-Hoc reporting for Bank or Board Meetings. 
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to provide guidance to clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
  • Experience in filing Sales Tax for clients, as well as other filings. 
  • Must be available during normal business hours for Client checkins, or urgent requests.

Schedule : On an as needed basis, starting between 5-10 hours per week. While most work can be completed on your own schedule, you must have the ability to check in daily during core business hours (M-F 9a-5p) and at times respond to time-sensitive requests.

Compensation: $19-$23 per hour based on experience
