Compensation: $80,000 to $95,000 based on experience

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Environmental Scientist:
Support clients in maintaining compliance in safety; stormwater; industrial waste; air quality; hazardous materials handling and storage; and hazardous waste storage, tracking, and disposal.
Support projects with compliance oversight in the field.
Perform compliance inspections on Apex projects.
Meet and discuss compliance issues with agency inspectors and regulators.
Support compliance audits.
Write technical reports.
Maintain familiarity with regulations pertinent to Apex projects.
Apply for regulatory permits.
Track permits.
Provide guidance and training to staff related to regulatory aspects related to ongoing projects.
Oversee field activities to ensure compliance with regulatory permits.

What we're looking for:BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field
10+ years of experience with environmental compliance
Strong technical writing skills.
The ability to successfully multi-task
Safety awareness
Ability to maintain compliance records
40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
Experience working in the field and directing field staff.
Experience with data management and report preparation.
Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
