Senior Learning Consultant Job Summary
GP Strategies’ Enterprise Technology Adoption (ETA) division is actively recruiting for Senior Learning Consultants to join the ETA team and work on projects in support of their customers.
Successful candidates will work on project teams responsible for the design, development, and delivery of training that prepares and teaches employees how to use Enterprise systems such as SAP, Infor, Oracle, and Workday to do their jobs in a wide variety of industries and business areas, including manufacturing, production planning, supply chain, finance, human resources, and quality assurance.
The Senior Learning Consultant works as a consulting team member or an individual consultant on enterprise system implementations with a focus on the analysis and design of learning solutions to meet the customers’ business goals and objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
·Develop course curricula and course designs
·Develop instructional design materials to include:
oProcedural information (work instructions and simulations) for executing system tasks
oConceptual materials in multiple modalities (eLearning, micro learning, ILT, VILT, etc.)
oTask-specific exercises for hands-on systems training
oOther materials to support training (job aids, process flows, etc.)
·Technically review and coordinate instructional design materials from other team members
·Ability to supervise a team
Required Skills:
·Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
·5-10 years of experience acting as a Training Lead or Training Developer participating in training design, development, and implementation, particularly within corporate or professional settings for at least two Enterprise system implementation projects developing an end user training solution
·Expert proficiency in instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and adult learning principles.
·Strong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and/or training development tools (Captivate, Story Line, etc.)
·Expertise in using various learning development accelerators and eLearning authoring tools, for example: Articulate Storyline, Rise, WalkMe, SAP Enable Now, WhatFix, or Adobe Captivate.
·Expertise in conducting training needs analysis (TNA) and aligning learning strategies with organizational goals.
·Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address organizational challenges.
·Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and rapidly implement training solutions in dynamic environments.
·Strong technical writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
·Analytical and creative/resourceful problem solving skills
·Ability to work independently or as part of a team
·Willing to travel during the week (as needed based on client requirements)
Preferred Skills:
·Master’s Degree preferred in a relevant discipline (e.g., Adult Education, Learning and Development).
·Extensive experience working with various end user groups to develop learning content customized end user training solutions.
·Certifications in Learning and Development (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development) are highly desirable.
·Proven track record of managing end-to-end training programs, from analysis to delivery and post Go-Live support.
·Deep understanding of learning theories and their application.
·Experience in designing and delivering blended learning programs (eLearning, in-person, and virtual).
·Strong capability in developing customized learning solutions for complex systems implementations.
·Familiarity with virtual training platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams), and ability to facilitate effective virtual learning sessions.
·Competence in using multimedia and video editing tools for content creation.
·Proven experience in mentoring and leading junior instructional designers or training developers.
·Strong collaborative skills, particularly when working with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts (SMEs)
·A mindset focused on continuous learning and improvement, staying up-to-date with emerging trends in L&D (e.g., microlearning, AI in training).
·Ability to innovate and leverage new technologies to deliver modern, engaging learning experiences.
