Job Description

A Team Home Services is looking to hire a Sheetrock Installer Apprentice to join our handyman and remodeling department! As a Sheet Rocker, you play a critical role in the construction industry by applying and finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, seamless walls and ceilings. Your expertise in preparing surfaces, applying joint compound, and sanding to achieve a flawless finish contributes to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the completed structure.

Responsibilities:

 

• Serve as the apprentice for the first 1-2 Years then begin running your own truck and installing structural framework such as floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, sheetrock, beams, and columns. 
• Study and interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans to understand the specifications and dimensions of the structure. 
• Measure, cut, and shape materials such as lumber, plywood, and other building materials according to the specifications outlined in the blueprints.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates. 
• Work closely with other tradesmen and contractors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth progress of the construction project.
• Properly maintain and care for tools and equipment used in the framing process, ensuring they are in good working condition and ready for use when needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years experience in drywall
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction and safety regulations.
• Strong mathematical and measurement skills.
• Attention to detail and precision in work.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license 
• Heavy lifting of at least 55 lbs
• Provide 3 references

Pay rate:

•  $15-$22 hourly
