Description of Work:

As the NCTA (Nebraska College for Technical Agriculture) Student Success Coach, you will contribute to the success of undergraduate students enrolled in the College.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Proactively engaging with students through the college's academic success programming.
  • Using provided college analytics and data to coordinate appropriate outreach and response using a variety of methods (i.e., in-person, email, text, phone, etc.) to targeted student populations.
  • Leveraging a community of collaborative relationships with student success stakeholders across NCTA to promote student persistence and academic success.
  • Coordinating college-level programming to increase sense of belonging, access, and success among all NCTA students.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years of experience working with students, educators, and business professionals, in an advisory role required.
  • Demonstrated capacity for project management, writing, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of situations.
  • Ability to use data to assist in decision making, advising software programs, student information systems, and common office technology software systems.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.

Preferred Qualifications:

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:

  • Master's degree in student affairs, educational administration, counseling, or related fields.
  • Experience working at a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Experience providing student success support for first generation, low-income, and/or minority college students.
  • Demonstrated counseling skills.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations in order to apply inclusive advising strategies.

Posted Salary: $44,500/yr minimum
