Job Description

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is looking for a Special Education Teacher to join our team of educators.

Responsible for working with children who have disabilities including cognitive emotional or physical disabilities at a middle school. Teaches disabled youth life skills and basic literacy and modifies the general education curriculum to meet the childs needs.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Teach disabled children who have mild to moderate disabilities.
  
• Instruct students at the middle school level.
  
• Modify traditional education curriculum to meet childs needs.
  
• Assist children with specific learning disabilities speech or language impairments emotional disturbance multiple disabilities hearing impairments orthopedical impairments visual impairments autism combined deafness and blindness traumatic brain injury.
  
• Help identify children with special needs.
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
  
• Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
  
• BSc in Special Education; MSc is a plus
  
• Must have an Illinois PEL with special education endorsement (LBS1)
  
• Must be able to work up to 37.5 hours per week through the end of the school year.
