Commencement Bay Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled veterinary assistant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field. Our full-time position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a compassionate team that delivers high-quality care to our clients and their beloved pets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain effective client communication, ensuring a clear understanding of their pets' needs and our services.
• Perform blood draws and obtain lab samples with precision and care.
• Actively assist in surgeries, providing support to veterinarians and ensuring the smooth operation of procedures.
• Utilize computer skills to manage records and contribute to our paper-light practice, with a preference for experience in AviMark software.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) as a veterinary assistant, with a strong emphasis on empathy and compassion towards animals and their owners.
• Professional demeanor, reliable attendance, and a friendly approach to interacting with our valued clients and patients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, supporting various tasks from lab work to reception duties as needed.
